In the Iranian Clinical Trial, the effect of gabapentin to reduce withdrawal-related pain due to Iranian crack heroin use was confirmed. Hence, use of this drug for management of such condition is recommended.

Due to my street and housing education, I have become very close to and affected by young adults addicted to heroin. As I moved into the streets of Massachusetts combined with my stays at observation hospitals, relationships developed. Even though I have never experienced the high and the pain of heroin addiction myself, it is impossible not to get involved while surviving in the same space. I am writing this post in the beginning to June, 2016, and it was just two weeks ago I heard my old roommate at an Observation Hospital, Randy, just died. It is a fact that while chasing the high, the fear of the pain of coming down deters seeking any help.

In our survey, the effect of gabapentin to reduce withdrawal-related pain due to Iranian crack heroin use was confirmed. Hence, use of this drug for management of such condition is recommended.
